You're Invited!

Here's a sweet wedding invitation, not too casual, not too formal...

I used SU!'s Berry Bliss DSP, Close to Cocoa, and Pretty in Pink. To add texture, I embossed the stamps, layered cardstock, sponged, distressed the edges, and used ribbon. As you can see from the pictures, the Save the Date card slides out.

I used a corner rounder (with the guard/guide removed) to create the scalloped edge...can't wait to get SU!'s new scallop edge punch!

*if you click on any of the photos, a larger (and clearer) version will appear in a new window!

Your camera must be way better than mine. I have a hard time getting good close up pictures.

Beautiful invitation! Can't imagine having to make 200+ though! lol.

This is sooo pretty! I may have to use some of your ideas on Carla's wedding invitations. Depending on how many ppl she's inviting. I don't think I'd distress though. It looks fabulous, but would be a pain to do for lots of them. So cute how that save the date card slips out! When it comes time to design her cards, can I borrow your wedding stamps?

of course you can! And I agree, distressing is a lot of work, and makes a mess too! Of course, if I were hired to make them, that might make me change my tune...:)

Thanks for the sweet comments, Julia!

I love the way the focal image looks like an award. That's very cool and I am definitly going to have to CASE that idea!
